Meeting Baby Jakob

Our trip to see Jakob went very well. Mom and Dad picked us up and we stopped in Littleton on the way down to do a Wal-mart run. Jaime and I got a bunch of Christmas boxes and tags/tape etc. to prepare us for wrapping presents. We also hit our normal guilty pleasure of rummaging through the $5 DVD bin a ended up getting about 10 more DVDs for our collection. And of course, we had to stock up on kitty litter for the stupid cat. We got out of the store before mom and dad were done shopping. I thought I would be nice and drive the Jeep around to the front of the store to pick up mom and dad on their way out. Dad came out first and headed for where we used to be parked. About 10,000 old people staggered in front of me into the store, so I couldn't get over to him in time. I caught up with him looking for the Jeep. We loaded the Jeep with his stuff, then tried to find mom. We ended up finding her wandering around the parking lot looking for the missing Jeep as well. She wasn't too happy about it either. No good deed goes unpunished!
We arrived at Jenn and Tom's and Raechel immediately introduced us to her new brother Jakob. Fortunately, she had gotten over her insistence that he was going to be named "Fred". Jenn looked good and was in good spirits despite her belly stitches. Tom and I drove out to get some pizzas. They were excellent. Jakob was very good and Jaime held him quite a bit of the time we were there. We gave Raechel her birthday presents since her third birthday is this week. Our trip home went fine and we were back in Newport by 7:00.
I took a bunch of pictures and posted them to Flickr. I stayed up last night culling out the bad photos and cropping and touching up the keepers. There are a few good ones in there, so take a look.
